Our Teachers

Each program, morning and afternoon, has a program director and a co-teacher. While they also work on administrative duties outside of class time, our program directors spend their respective program time working with the children alongside their co-teachers.

Both of our program directors have a Masters in Early Childhood Education. All staff members have the early childhood coursework required by our licensing agency. In addition, they all have current first aid and CPR credentials. As budgeted and encouraged by the school, our teachers actively work to continue their education, attending workshops or courses each year to stay abreast of current early childhood information and trends. With our parent participators and our teachers, we keep the adult-to-child at 1:4 ratio during the programs.

ECPC teachers come and stay for many years! We have very little staff turnover and our staff bring cultural richness to the program and the children.

Morning Director: Kathy Clark joined ECPC in April 2012 with 11 years teaching experience in cooperatives before ECPC.

Morning Teacher: Jamie Boreen is an alumni ECPC parent and first joined as a part-time teacher in both programs in the Fall of 2017. In January 2018 our membership unanimously voted to hire Jamie as a full-time morning teacher, after the former program teacher retired after 32 years.

Afternoon Director: Jenny Byrne is an alumna ECPC parent and joined our staff as the afternoon teacher in 2008. In 2021, Teacher Jenny was hired as our afternoon program director after the former program director retired after 23 years.

Afternoon Teacher: Wendy McCoy is an alumna ECPC parent and joined us in 2022 as our afternoon program teacher.

Administrative Coordinator: Irene Ng joined us in 2008 as our Administrative Coordinator and is the main point of contact for parents and provides continuity for both the AM and PM programs, and since 2017, oversees enrollment.

Beloved Retired Teachers:

Teacher Anne Clements: In June of 2012, Teacher Anne retired after 32 years play-filled years at ECPC. We miss her dearly.

Teacher Par Farrokhmid: In December 2017, our beloved morning teacher, Teacher Par, retired after 32 years of service to ECPC.

Teacher Nga Bui: In 2021, our wonderful Teacher Nga retired after 23 years teaching at ECPC and many more as an alumna ECPC parent before that!
